About

Jen Allen brings over 25 years of experience in clinical psychotherapy and counselling, alongside more than 35 years as a successful business owner and consultant. Her work centres on supporting individuals, couples, leaders and organisations to deepen self-awareness, strengthen relational contact, and move toward meaningful change in both their personal and professional lives.

Jen’s approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in ethical, evidence-based practice. Influenced by Gestalt principles and philosophy, she works with clients to develop awareness of their present-moment experience — thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and relational patterns — and how these shape the ways they meet themselves, others, and the world around them. Through this process, clients are supported to recognise habitual patterns, increase choice, and respond with greater clarity and authenticity.

Drawing on extensive clinical experience and a deep understanding of how trauma, identity, and systemic influences shape emotional wellbeing, Jen collaborates with clients in an engaged and respectful therapeutic relationship. Together they explore challenges as they arise in the moment, uncover insights, and develop practical strategies that support integration, responsibility, and sustainable growth.

Through her private practice, JACC, Jen provides psychotherapy for individuals and couples, clinical supervision, executive leadership coaching, and support for entrepreneurs and organisations. She is particularly passionate about emotional intelligence, respectful relationships, and reflective leadership, supporting people to bring greater awareness and congruence to how they live, relate and lead.

Known for her clarity, relational presence, and practical insight, Jen creates a safe and grounded space where clients can slow down, notice their experience, and work creatively with the complexities of life. Her work supports people to deepen connection, expand awareness, and build relationships and lives that feel more authentic, integrated and fulfilling.
